The Trust Board met with the Club earlier this week and has released the following statement, as also reported on the Official Club website.

“Earlier this week, the Trust Board met with James Brent, Peter Jones, Martin Baker and Rick Cowdery to address key priorities in the future for the club.

Chief among those issues was discussion around the potential for the Trust to purchase a shareholding in the club.

The meeting was productive and further meetings will be held to develop the proposal before full detail is put to Trust members for consultation after the end of the season.

A Trust spokesman said: “We understand that fans are keen to embrace a proposal that would be historic for the club and city, and this meeting was an important first step.”

“Rather than drip out bits and pieces of information that are subject to change as meetings develop, we will consult members fully when we have concrete proposals that can be questioned and tested in the early part of the summer.”

“The best way of influencing any decisions the Trust has to make is to join us, by finding us at our info points inside and outside Home Park, or by going to http://www.argylefanstrust.com/join today.”"
