The Argyle Fans’ Trust is delighted to announce that Linda Fleming has agreed to take up the vacant Secretary post.
A Trust spokesperson said “Having talked to Linda it was clear she has both the passion and skills to help us take the Trust forward over the coming months. Linda follows on from our previous Secretaries Peter Ryan and Laura Starr, both of whom contributed significantly to the success of the Trust to date. We’re looking forward to having Linda on board as we press on with the important tasks and challenges before us. We believe the Trust has a very positive role to play in helping to rebuild the club we love and in establishing its place as an integral part of our city and the region.”
Linda said “I have lived in Plymouth all my life and feel that Argyle is one of the most important assets of our city. I believe that the function of the Trust, in giving the fans a voice, is very crucial to the health and future of the Club. I wish to contribute my skills and experience to the role of Secretary and look forward to supporting the Trust and its Board. I’m sure I’ve got a steep learning curve ahead of me in terms of what my role demands and I’m very excited about working as part of this team.”
Linda will be helping the Trust organise its next general meeting on 18th August ahead of Argyle’s first home League game of the season. We will also shortly be launching the member consultation on the club shareholding offer, and beginning to make plans for the Trust Board elections this autumn.
