The AFT Board would like to sincerely apologise for the recent hold-ups in the membership system and particularly to those of you whose renewals have fallen due in the last few months.

These delays have been due to a combination of glitches in the InTouch technology and a shortage both of time and volunteers to process the renewals. We are hopeful that both of these have been rectified and that the backlog will be cleared very soon. We hope to be operating as normal before the end of March.

To streamline, simplify and improve AFT membership going forward, we have decided to try implement a system of one-date annual renewal as from 1 May 2017 and are taking advice on how best to do this and indeed if it is feasible.

We shall shortly email all members and post on this website the transitional arrangements for those renewing or joining between September 2016 and the end of April 2017, together with details of the proposed new scheme.

In the meantime, thank you for your continued patience. And if you can offer just a few hours on a regular or even occasional basis to help the membership team keep the new system working smoothly, please get in touch.
