Trust Board 2015 Election

The Trust’s 2015 election process sought to fill four of seven positions on the Trust board, with three existing board members continuing.

Note that the number of positions on the board increased this year from six to seven, and thus there were four positions available by election, not the previously advertised three.

After the nomination period closed, the EMG released a statement announcing that with only three candidates standing, each will be deemed elected and presented to the membership at the Trust’s 2015 AGM on Saturday 21st November.

The Election Management Group (EMG)

The role of the Election Management Group is to ensure that the election is run in accordance with the Election Rules Policy. In order to maintain the integrity of the election process, the Chair of the EMG is an independent person who is not a member of the Trust, and members of the EMG are not eligible to nominate candidates nor be a candidate themselves.

Key Dates

Friday 25th September: Date by which those wishing to stand or vote in the election must be members. ?

Saturday 26th September: Publication of formal Notice of Election, and nomination papers made available. ?

Thursday 16th October: Deadline for nominations including candidate statements to be returned. ?

Friday 23rd October: Candidates’ statements to be published on the website. Ballot papers to be posted out (if more than four candidates stand); N/A

Saturday 21st November: Presentation of candidates at the AGM.

Monday 23rd November: Formal publication of result on Trust web site.

Thursday 26th November: Deadline for appeals.
