Statues represent our history, and they show who we’re proud of – and Plymouth has shown how proud we are of Jack Leslie.

He was a trailblazing goal scorer, a man who made the most of his talents, who captained his team and who won promotion for the club.

He should have had an England cap as well, but that was not to be.

Now, nearly a hundred years later, he’s got the recognition he deserved – from Argyle, the supporters, the wider football community and finally, from the FA.

It’s Black History Month, and Jack Leslie and Argyle are part of that story forever now.

The AFT is proud to have supported the Jack Leslie Campaign, in partnership with our friends at the Exeter and Torquay Supporters’ Trusts.
