AGM 2019

The Argyle Fans’ Trust is holding its 2019 Annual General Meeting on Saturday 23rd November at 5.15pm in the Life Centre, 40 Mayflower Drive, Plymouth PL2 3DF, adjacent to Home Park stadium, after the home match with Bradford City.

The AGM is your chance to meet the AFT Board, to talk to Argyle manager Ryan Lowe and our two sponsored players Will Aimson and Amber Pollock, to chat with AFT President Romain Larrieu and to win a signed and framed Sonny Bradley shirt.

The AGM is open to all Trust members, and of course we also welcome new members joining o the night. We urge you to attend as the AGM is an important opportunity for us to discuss issues affecting the Trust and the Club, and to shape the future priorities for the Trust.

As an incentive, there will be 30 free pasties on a first-come-first served basis, and a raffle after the AGM for a signed and framed Sonny Bradley shirt.

And, at 5.30, we will be welcoming our manager, Ryan Lowe and the Trust’s two sponsored players, Will Aimson and the Ladies’ Amber Pollock.

We can also confirm that the AFT’s President, Romain Larrieu, will also be joining us.

And on sale will be the 2020 Robby Bullen cartoon calendar, his specially designed Christmas cards, a limited number of Russell Moore’s Waiters Era’ books, a new range of badges and the latest issue of our fanzine the Grass is Greener.

We also have some procedural matters to progress at the AGM, including adoption of the new Model Rules as supplied by Supporters Direct (now part of the Football Supporters Association). Below you can see a copy of our current Rules (based on SD’s 2011 Model Rules) and a copy of the proposed new AFT Rules based on SD’s 2016 Model Rules, with edits to the SD template highlighted in yellow. All the choices for Board size, the number of Board positions up for election each year, etc., remain the same. The new Rules largely just reflect a change in the Law supporting the operations of Registered Societies such as the AFT.

Our 2018/19 financial year accounts are also available for inspection. We will as per previous years be asking the meeting to waive the requirement for a full audit on the accounts (based on the size of our organisation, and the cost of such an audit).

We hope to see you there!
