The Election Management Group (EMG)
The role of the Election Management Group (EMG) is to ensure that the election is run in accordance with the AFT’s Election Policy. In order to maintain the integrity of the election process, the Chair of the EMG is an independent person who is not a member of the Trust, and members of the EMG are not eligible to nominate candidates nor be a candidate themselves.
The EMG was appointed by the Trust Board at its meeting on Saturday 21st September, as follows:
- Neil Le Milliere, independent EMG chair
- John Lloyd
- Tim Chown, AFT Secretary

Result of Nomination Process
There were no nominations received by the deadline of 17th October, and therefore no election will be held, nor any new elected Board members appointed.

Key Dates
Friday 27th September: Date by which those wishing to stand or vote in the election must be members.
Saturday 28th September: Publication of formal Notice of Election, and nomination papers made available.
Thursday 17th October (5pm): Deadline for nominations including candidate statements to be returned.
The remaining dates in the schedule did not apply as no candidate nominations were received.
