Summary and Outcome of Election Process
The following document summarises the result of the election process, as reported by Neil Le Milliere, chair of the Election Management Group (EMG).
The six candidates listed in the above summary will be presented at the AGM on 28th November for an affirmative vote to confirm their appointment to the Board from the date of the AGM.

Election Documents
The Election Management Group (EMG)
The role of the Election Management Group (EMG) is to ensure that the election is run in accordance with the AFT’s Election Policy. In order to maintain the integrity of the election process, the Chair of the EMG is an independent person who is not a member of the Trust, and members of the EMG are not eligible to nominate candidates nor be a candidate themselves.
The EMG was appointed by a vote of the Trust Board, as follows:
- Neil Le Milliere, independent EMG chair
- Tim Chown, AFT Secretary

Key Dates
Friday 2nd October: Date by which those wishing to stand or vote in the election must be members.
Saturday 3rd October: Publication of formal Notice of Election, and nomination papers made available.
Thursday 22nd October (5pm): Deadline for nominations including candidate statements to be returned by post or email.
Friday 30th October: Candidates’ statements to be published on the website. Ballot papers to be posted out (if more than eight candidates stand)
Friday 27th November (5pm): Deadline for return of ballot papers by post.
Saturday 28th November: Result of Election announced at the 2020 AGM, with affirmative vote of candidates
Monday 30th November: Formal publication of result on Trust web site.
Thursday 3rd December: Deadline for appeals.
