On Saturday the Argyle Fans’ Trust were delighted to welcome the Oxford United Trust (OxVox) to GOALS for a five a side tournament. Both Trusts provided three teams who battled it out against each other, with the best two meeting in the final. Despite the Oxford lads and one lass being slightly the worse for wear after a marathon drinking session the night before, Ox Vox emerged the winners of the final by two goals to one. Not even the sight of the geriatric AFT chairman being employed as super sub could stem the yellow tide. Fortunately the lads did much better than us at three o’clock!
This was Ox Vox’s first weekend on tour and I hope they have pleasant memories of their weekend in Plymouth and that we can repeat this event next season when we are both in League One. Thank you to Frazer of the AFT for arranging this event.
