Bob Foale, the AFT Chair, met Club CEO, Martyn Starnes, this week. Among other things he raised the many concerns over the obligatory £3 postal charge for season tickets introduced this year. The particular issues are that fans cannot collect these tickets in person; that multiple tickets from one household incur multiple charges and that working fans need to drive to their nearest sorting office to collect.
The CEO assured Bob that this is a one-off initiative, caused by the relocation of the ticket offices to Crownhill. The Club were not confident that the volume of season tickets could be managed from their temporary base, hence this temporary measure for this year only. He agreed to look into the possibility of a refund for multiple season ticket holders in the same household.
The AFT will continue to monitor the situation and press the Club to see if there could be other options, including for collection.
