Congratulations to Graham Carey on being chosen as the AFTs Player of the Year for 2017-18. Not only did Graham finish as Argyle’s top scorer, but he also recorded an amazing number of assists.

The Chair was pleased to meet with Martyn Starnes, the Club’s outgoing Chief Executive Officer, as well as to be introduced to Mark Lovell, the newly appointed temporary CEO. Please click here to read about that interview.

Robby Bullen has been a great friend to the AFT for a number of years. We were again grateful to him for providing the cartoons for our AFT calendar. Robby also produced an especially printed card for fans to purchase, write in and send to Ryan Edwards. The £50 raised through sales of these cards has been donated to the Teenage Cancer charity.

I hope many of you have taken the opportunity to visit our new website. It’s a big improvement on its predecessor and will hopefully serve us well in the future. Many thanks to Board member, Roger Willis, for his unstinting work on this project.

Huge thanks are also due to Board member, Richard Blight, who has taken on the ‘poisoned chalice’ of membership secretary and completely turned it around. Apologies once again to those who have been let down over membership renewals in recent months, but in Richard’s safe hands I am confident that we will go from strength to strength.

One of our annual tasks is to support John Lloyd in promoting his Close Season Survey. We are delighted that John has also joined the Board of the AFT and would urge you to fill in this survey. I know that the Club do study the results and take seriously the views of the hundreds of fans who respond.

The AFT Board is considering investing £1,000 of its funds in the Green Taverners’ initiative to replace the old Far Post Club. We are asking members for further feedback before committing to this outlay.

Finally, our congratulations to the players and management for their achievements this season. It certainly has been a roller coaster ride! Particular thanks to Club captain, Luke McCormick, as he leaves the Club after 347 appearances between the sticks. He has also been a good friend to the Trust. Thank you Super Luke!!
