The Argyle Fans’ Trust welcomes the 2020 Financial Report for Plymouth Argyle, published by the Club on February 8th.
The widespread applause for the report is ample proof of the benefits of greater transparency and communication.
The AFT commends Simon Hallett, the Argyle Board and David Ray for the time taken to set out Argyle’s financial position in such detail, for the Green Army to read and understand.
The AFT has campaigned for greater transparency in presenting Argyle’s financial performance for several years, as part of its mission to represent the supporters and be a critical, supportive friend for the Club.
Argyle fans are now the envy of other clubs’ supporters, as evidenced by comments we have received, and with another Trust asking for guidance in this area.
As such, we warmly welcome the continued commitment to publishing fuller financial reports, and shifting the accounting period to match the seasons, as other football clubs do.
Argyle’s standing continues to rise, in all areas of the Club’s operation.
