The Chair of the Election Management Group (EMG), Neil Le Milliere, has issued the following statement regarding the outcome of the AFT 2020 Society Board Election process.
ELECTION MANAGEMENT GROUP’S REPORT OF THE ELECTION PROCESS
As the Independent Scrutineer and Chairman of Election Management Group for the
Argyle Fans’ Trust Board Elections 2020 I am pleased to report that at the end of the
period set aside for Nominations for the Election we have received six validated
nominations for the eight available places.
Unfortunately, this means there will not be a contested election which is always to be
preferred but six nominations were admirable.
Therefore, as the Independent Scrutineer and in line with note 7 of the Notice of
Election, I declare the six nominees appointed subject to an affirmative vote at the
Argyle Fan’s Trust AGM.
As part of my role I am required to report whether the current Society Election Rules
Regulations and Procedures and the Society Constitution were adhered to and I can
confirm that they were.
